Award of Merit Application

An Award of Merit may be conferred by the Provincial Executive upon a Member, who, in the opinion of a Provincial District/District Executive or the Provincial Executive, has rendered meritorious and outstanding service to the OSSTF at the Provincial District/District/Bargaining Unit level, or at both the Provincial District/District/Bargaining Unit and Provincial levels.

The Provincial District/District Executive shall make application to the Provincial Executive. An Award of Merit may be approved from any District in any one year for every 500 members or greater portion thereof. Notwithstanding the above, every District shall be allowed to apply for a minimum of two Awards of Merit in any one year. (A.98) [Ref: Bylaw 8.1.1]
